Venue: Alor Setar, Kedah
This time Avicenna team heads up north to capture saiful and zakiyah's wedding in alor setar. It was quite a journey from kl to kedah, travelling by car during night time can be very challenging if you have your co-driver snoring instead borak-borak with the driver and trying to keep him awake.. (hahaha lek aa bigg). We safely arrived in penang and camped for the night at leen's house before heading to alor setar in the early morning.
The nikah session was held at zakiyah's house in alor setar and what an event it was. for the first time, i've witnessed a nikah session where the tok kadi was faster than the make up artist! hahaha.. no kidding! the ceremony was short and saiful did the akad in one take. but zakiyah's was still in her room getting her hair done.
Saiful and Zakiyah made it easy for us, very fun and selamba couple to work with. Full of fun and laughter. Enjoy the entry folks, watch out for the reception pics!

Madiana's reception was quite different than what i've encountered before. The ceremony began at Madiana's home, where she had her make up done. Then the couple berarak to the nearby mosque, where they had their makan beradab.As soon as the newlyweds finished their lunch, they marched back to Madiana's home where they had the tepung tawar.

While i was at ayu's place, i had to rely on min's expertise to do the job for madiana. this was the first time avicenna studio had to use an associate for photography job and min delivered just what we wanted.
The akad nikah took place in a mosque near madiana's place. If you calculate the distance from madiana's house, shahrir's house and the mosque, they will come up lesser than 400 meters. hehe yes, the bride and groom are neighbors.
When the khutbah before akad took place, the kadi asked for the presence of the bride, to listen to the khutbah. unfortunately, madiana "can't" come to the mosque so the father had to switch on the handphone infront of the kadi for her to listen at home.. man thats a first! hehe

After finishing at Ayu's house, we rushed from Kota Damansara to TTDI to capture Nik's engagement which started after asar. Thank god we managed. hehe. Nik was refered to us by our friend tuty (thanks!). Eventho, i haven't met nik in person before the event, she was very friendly and can't made my job any easier. can't wait to capture your wedding!

After being solemnized, the wedding reception was held at ayu's place on the very next day. Gold was the theme of the day, both couple looked very elegant covered in gold. Its a pleasure working with kanain and ayu. They are photographers best friend. haha. they wont mind doin silly acts or poses. 
To Ayu n Kanain, thanks for the opportunity given, its a great pleasure to work with both of u guys, wishing you all the best in your future together, cheers!

Kanain & Ayu were safely solemnized at Ayu's place in Kota Damansara. No problem for Kanain, even Ayu's father was doing the akad, Kanain was cool and did his job perfectly. Before the event, Ayu was so afraid that her pics will turn out bad. Hehe. Relax la Ayu, you did just fine! hehehe

Edleen & Nud - Reception

Venue: Leen's Home, Permatang Pauh, Penang
Leen's wedding reception was kinda odd for me. I don't know whether it was a northern tradition or not, but the reception was held at the groom's side first rather than the bride's. Whatever it was, the orange theme suited the couple perfectly, very vibrant n lively. The presence of leen's youngest sis, emily, made the whole thing even merrier. the photographers and videographers chased emily more that the bride n groom.. hahaha.. believe it!
After all the hard work during the day, after night fall avicenna team went melantak the ever famous pulau mutiara char kuey teow! sluuurrrppppp!!
